The Parent Power promotion is run every year by The Sunday Times - it contains a list of Britain's top 2,000 state and independent schools and helpful tips for parents.
In 2004 The Times chose to put the information into digital format and produced a CD containing the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia, Collins Dictionary and Thesaurus, and Maths tests for all ages.
The CD was bundled with the 21/11/2004 edition of The Sunday Times and it was the second highest selling issue for 2004. In 2005 The Sunday Times repeated their success with the Student's CD and in 2006 they licensed the Britannica Family Encyclopedia for the promotion.
Each Parent Power promotion was supported by TV advertising on the weekend of the bundle and Britannica ran three 1/3 page readers offers in conjunction with the promotion.
