Why Choose Talmos Britannica?
Talmos Britannica enable efficient collaboration and best practice teaching within individual schools, LEA and school clusters helping them to accelerate improvements
in standards, and strengthen teaching and learning throughout the school.
The main feature of Talmos Britannica is the direct link into the Encyclopaedia Britannica database allowing teachers easily to add appropriate
content into their lesson plans. This material includes encyclopedic content, images, videos, journals and high quality learning materials. Access to Britannica content is also
provided to students (even remotely) and can be used as a valuable studying and researching tool.
Developed in conjunction with teachers, Talmos Britannica can be implemented a module at a time with enhancements that can be added as required.
From reducing lesson planning time and sharing best practices, to improving teaching and delivering engaging lessons, the Talmos Britannica platform is under
constant development.
Talmos Britannica manages the planning and resource maintenance functions of
the school or individual teacher by providing a platform for entering resources and lesson plans into a database. Lesson plans can be built up in a structured way
using lesson components added by the school or, where the school is part of a Talmos Britannica cluster, added by other members (such as a subscribing
Education Authority or other schools in the group).
Talmos Britannica addresses consistency and time saving concerns for teachers producing plans and managing materials in the classroom environment.
Talmos Britannica presents schools with an open, adaptable way to promote individual teaching and learning in a consistent way that is easy to produce,
measure and deliver. Closely centred around teaching, Talmos Britannica gives teachers the ability to bring the most authoritative content into everyday
teaching and for pupils freely to expand their horizons at their own pace.
